Our Story
Taryn started her career as an interior designer, helping clients bring beauty and function into their spaces. But the first time she stepped onto a construction site, she had a true Cinderella moment—only it wasn’t a glass slipper that fit, it was a pair of construction boots. That was the moment she realized she wanted to do more than just select finishes and create floor plans—she wanted to build them.
Taryn became a licensed general contractor to bridge the gap between vision and execution, and to bring a fresh, female-led approach to an industry that’s overdue for change.
After her business took off in Southern California, she expanded her team, bringing on her sister Jessica to run operations and launch Northern California. Jess comes from a real estate background and countless home DIY projects and managing contractors, making her the perfect addition to help Taryn Ashley Homes extend their reach.

Taryn is a seasoned General Contractor with a background in Interior Design, bringing both technical expertise and creative vision to every project. With over 17 years of experience in the construction and design industries, she is known for her meticulous attention to detail, creative vision, and ability to bridge the gap between aesthetics and functionality. Her commitment to quality, integrity, and design excellence, paired with a hands-on approach and clear communication through every stage of construction, has made her a sought-after professional in the industry. Outside of work, you’ll often find Taryn on the beach in sunny Southern California with her daughter and their golden retriever.

Chief Operating Officer & Head of NorCal Division
Jessica has over a decade of experience in real estate, operations, and project management. Her career spans both residential real estate and the fast-paced world of startups, where she helped scale companies from early stage to unicorn status. She and her husband’s experience with DIY projects, and with contractors who didn’t always meet their standards, has fueled her passion to manage quality construction. She is passionate about fostering strong client relationships through transparent communication, quality craftsmanship, and effective project management. When she’s not working, Jessica spends weekends running a youth military organization and loves tackling home projects with her husband, camping adventures with her two young boys, and being outside.
